Pattern Cutting - Level One for Beginners                                       By Don Clark
This video is an introduction to pattern cutting. It will give the beginner a basic understanding
of block construction and the manipulation of that block to create draft patterns.
Part One        of the video demonstrates block making from the tailor's dummy and how to
correct any imbalance that may occur.

Part Two        shows the construction of a lady' shirt pattern with a two piece collar,
a shirt type sleeve with buttoned cuff and placket and a detailed demonstration on how to
sew this cuff and placket. The shoulder is yoked with two pleats below at the back.

Part Three      shows the use of suppression seams and darting to create a fitted blouse
        with a frilled V neckline.
